Paul and James attended the Twestival in Bury St Edmunds yesterday, and have been twittering (not tweeting) about it in the office all morning! The day of digital events, talks, workshops and seminars focussed exclusively on social media and the huge potential of digital marketing in a modern business environment. The event brought together digital specialists from across the county who offered their time and expertise for free, with all proceeds going to the Suffolk Disability Care Fund.
Technical Manager, James Royce reports: ‘It was very interesting to see how a cross-section of businesses use and intend to use social media. One message was very clear: with so many people following thousands of feeds on Twitter and Facebook, the content needs to be written by somebody close to the action. It must be relevant, interesting and useful and it needs to grab attention in a fast moving and competitive media environment.’
