The Mackman Group’s Business Development Director Paul Mackman, has been elected as Regional Chairman to CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) in Essex.
The CIM is recognised by the UK government as the voice of marketing, which sets standards within the industry and is the first port of call for marketing information, knowledge and insight. Paul has been a member of the CIM for 15 years and has an uncle who coincidentally was also Chairman of the Essex branch. ‘The new committee is striving to increase the number of members of the CIM in Essex, in order to promote best-practice marketing and to bring up new talent through grass-root engagement – we have a number of great events planned for the next year,’ explains Paul.
The Mackman group sees the CIM as a valuable resource for its marketing staff. First established in 1911, the Institute continues to design the marketing standards that operate in the UK as well as championing best marketing practice. ‘Our marketing staff are specialists in their field, which is why it’s vital for our organisation to stay up to speed with all the CIM standards of practice,’ says Paul. ‘In doing so, we’re able to act as an extension of our clients’ companies, providing a complete range of effective marketing services.’
