Social Research
Mackman Research has its origins in social research
Our research team is managed by Gemma Mackman who has a background in the social sector and is an experienced and professional social researcher.
Following a career in the social sector and having completed Sociology Post Graduate and Masters Degrees at Essex University, Gemma established the company in 2003. Gemma is a member of the Market Research Society and the Social Research Association and is experienced in ethnographic research methods designed to reach sensitive groups.
We take our social research seriously, providing robust social research with transparent analysis and evaluation of research findings. We have quality procedures in place to ensure a traceable clear path of social research.
Social research uses accountable research methodologies and research practices and can be split into two broad categories of qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative research may include conducting in-depth interviews or direct participant observation, to understand social trends. Quantitative information gathering endeavours to understand social events through statistical analysis such as local and national crime rates.
Our team of highly qualified and experienced social research specialists are able to meet the needs of both small and large organisations. We cover broad issues of social research to help inform policy development and decision making. To see a Mackman Research social research case study, please click here.
