The Mackman Group incorporates a team of  marketing specialists who can operate independently, depending upon the needs of the client, or as one to provide a blended and comprehensive service.  We act as an extension of your company, providing a complete range of marketing services executed with the responsiveness and professionalism you would expect from an internal department.

Abi Mackman – Researcher & PR Abi joined the Mackman Group in 2008 following a move from London to Essex. She currently specialises in data collection and presentation of results for research projects.  She is also an important part of the event management and public relations team.  Abi has outstanding organisational skills that have proved invaluable in numerous projects.  She is a  great communicator and has established strong relationships with many members of the regional press and media. Amanda Ansell – Researcher Amanda joined the Mackman Group in 2008.  She is a senior figure within our research team and has an up to date enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check in place for social research projects.  She specialises in satisfaction surveys and social research, with particular strengths in data collection and data analysis.  Amanda’s broad and varied role also includes quality control and maintaining excellent levels of customer service. She is currently working on the achievement of ISO20252, a specialist research company quality standard.  Amanda is an established Suffolk artist and her work has been included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.  Amanda lives in Sudbury, Suffolk. Angela Balaam – Senior Graphic Designer Angela joined the graphic design team in 2008.  With an impressive portfolio of graphic design work Angela specialises in branding, leaflets, flyers, brochures, magazines and any print based media.  More recently she has comfortably developed complementary skills in website design.  Her role includes maintaining excellent customer service and managing supplier relationships as an important part of the supply chain.  Her project management skills have proved to be invaluable in the busy design studio. Bruce Burgoyne – Graphic & Web Designer Bruce joined the Mackman Group in 2007.  He is a highly experienced graphic designer who has also previously taught graphic design at a leading Colchester college.  Bruce specialises in branding, flyers, leaflets, packaging, brochures, websites and online technologies.  He also has a very keen eye for photography and an impressive photographic portfolio to complement his extensive graphic design work.  His key strengths are his experience and creative flare for original and outstanding graphic design.  Bruce lives in Colchester, Essex. Emil Pitts – Studio Technician Emil joined our team in 2011, having come from a print design background. His passion for, and experience with, both print and digital design make Emil a valuable member of the technical team. Emil acts as the frontline support for clients, and ensures that any day to day digital issues are resolved. Emma Ward – Communications Officer Emma joined the Mackman Group in 2011 and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). She is responsible for creating and coordinating creative PR campaigns, as well as writing copy for web clients and a variety of printed materials. Emma’s background in magazine journalism has established a real love for communication, and an impeccably high standard for quality design. Gemma Mackman – Research Director As one of the founding member of the Mackman Group, Gemma heads up our research team.  She has a broad background that has contributed to her all-round expertise in research.  Gemma studied at the University of Essex in Colchester where she gained her appreciation and knowledge of diverse research methodologies.  Her key strengths are in social research and, in particular, interviewing high demand respondents.  Gemma lives in Sudbury, Suffolk. James Royce – Digital Services Manager James joined the Mackman Group in early 2010.  James is a specialist in IT hardware and software development.  With years of experience in the IT and programming field, James’ knowledge is vast but his plain speaking makes for an IT translation that can easily be digested by our clients.  James’ strengths are in project management, programming and on-line technologies.  With a background in financial software development he specialises in integrating our websites and on-line solutions with back office systems.  He lives in Colchester, Essex. Luke Roberts – Developer Luke joined the technical team at Mackman Group in January 2011.  After studying for a degree in Game Design Luke decided that he would like to develop his skills as an all round programmer and technician.  Luke works closely with members of the design studio team, and Technical Manager to deliver websites, e-commerce and software to clients. Maria Kelly Maria joined the graphic design team as senior designer in 2012. She is a highly qualified graphic designer with an innovative background in packaging and print based design. Maria ran her own successful graphic design business for eighteen years, working with major clients such as Tesco, Boots and the Disney Store. She has an impressive portfolio and the experience of delivering inspirational and creative work to a wide range of clients. Merv Royce – Financial Controller Merv joined the Mackman Group in 2004.  His attention for detail and consistency make him an excellent book-keeper and credit controller.  Importantly Merv ensures that all suppliers are paid within terms in line with our company policy.  In addition to his role as Financial Controller Merv is involved in Project management ensuring that timings and budgets are met.  Merv lives in Colchester, Essex. Paul Mackman – Business Development Director As a founding member of the Mackman Group Paul has a passion for business development.  He specialises in strategic and operational research, and marketing.  Paul has a broad business background in marketing and operations that enables him to deliver marketing strategies that are considered and realistic.  A Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Paul also Chairs the Management Committee for the Essex branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.  Paul lives in Sudbury, Suffolk.
