Cricketing legend Henry Blofeld will be making a guest appearance at a wine festival this weekend.
Blofeld – or Blowers as he’s known to fans – will be signing copies of his latest book “Squeezing the Orange” at The Wine Company’s One Day Wine Festival on Saturday November 30.
“We’re thrilled that Henry will be joining us at the festival,” said The Wine Company’s sales and marketing director Mark Cronshaw. “Not only will it be a great opportunity to meet such a great character, but cricket fans and visitors will also get the chance to sample Henry’s own wines alongside some of the world’s finest.”
“We’ll have more than 30 wines to taste under the expert guidance of winemakers from around the world, including Chris Pfeiffer from Australia and Patrizio Massaro from Languedoc in France,” added Mark.
“Squeezing the Orange” is filled with Blofeld’s idiosyncratic musings on life, cricket, fine wine and some of his numerous global adventures.
The festival, which takes place between 10am to 4pm at the Company’s store in Gosbecks Park, includes tutored wine tastings and a chance to stock up for Christmas with a 10 per cent discount on all items in the store.
The Wine Company is an independent wine merchants based in Colchester, Essex dating back six generations. For more information about The Wine Company’s wine festival event, just click here.
