A night of Dinner and Jazz in aid of The Bridge Project

Back by popular demand, one of Sudbury’s beloved community charities is hosting another Dinner and Jazz evening. The fundraising event, sponsored by Mackman, will not only include fantastic food, cooked and served by the charity’s own students but also vibrant Jazz music and an after dinner speaker, the academic, mentalist magician Dr. Todd Landman.

Established in 1995, The Bridge Project is a local Sudbury charity. They assist disadvantaged adults within our community helping to develop their skills; from employment opportunities to vocational training and education. The Bridge Project is dedicated to creating an honest, safe and welcoming environment and what they call, “a community in a community”.

The after dinner speaker, Dr. Todd Landman has combined a career as a magician and mentalist with a post as a professor of government. He is renowned for his interest in politics, philosophy, science and magic which provide a unique and brilliant form of mystery entertainment. He appears regularly in the media and at public events as an entertainer and there is lots of excitement at his anticipated attendance at this Dinner and Jazz event.

The Jazz music will be provided by a vocal harmony group known as The Accidentals, backed by a four piece jazz band, Flat Broke. In the past, the group have performed for the likes of Terry Waite and Lord Andrew Phillips, singing anything from The Andrew Sisters to Lady GaGa.

CEO of The Bridge Project, Anesta Newson said, “It is going to be a wonderful evening. It is a great night to showcase our fantastic students cooking and catering skills. Everything is donated for the evening, from the food to the venue, music and the amazing work of Todd Landman. It’s going to be really really fabulous”.

The evening will be held on the 5th July, at Sudbury’s Masonic Hall. Starting at 7.00 – 10.30pm. Tickets cost £20 per person and the event will hold 8 people per table. For tickets call 01787 313691.
